Chad Raymond has signed a 4-year extension worth $3.2M to stay in Houston following a career season with the team. He is also the undisputed captain of the clubhouse heading into next season.
Unanimous team MVP is 2B Chad Raymond with immaculate career highs in all offensive categories, finishing the season with 24 HR, 65 RBIs and a .340 AVG 👏
We conclude our 2nd season back in Houston with a quick exit in the wildcard, but this year has been a major step forward in building the future for Nightcrawlers baseball in this city. Season 153 will be even bigger!
2hollis has joined the Nightcrawlers once again on the Houston team this time, coming with LF Chipper Yang in a deal with the New York Dads for pitchers Chase Mcconnell and Zane Diehl.
Either way, this could mark the beginning of an exciting new era for the franchise, who look to take over the game once again after years of absence and mediocrity
Other names include Seiler Stadium, which pays homage to 1B Allen Seiler, arguably one of the best first basemen to ever play for the franchise and Hodge Arena, a nod to legendary 3B Zachariah Hodge.
Dionne Diamond is the proposed ballpark name.
Stadium plans include to christen the ballpark in tribute to the organizations greatest pitcher who helped win it all for them in Season 54, Talon Dionne.
These relocation plans could take place as soon as next season, with the question being: will they bring back the old Blue Jays moniker that they were famously known as before? Or will the Nightcrawlers name live on, only in Edmonton?
Talks are happening within current management to return the franchise to the place where they won the Season 54 World Championship title: Orange County in Anaheim.
