They don’t own him anymore that’s the point your not getting oriole , if your contract runs out , your not owned by anybody , that’s why players seek out other teams ..once that last World Series game ends , he’s a free agent , owned by no one

Yes, but from 9:00-9:30, only the top bidder and the team that owns him can bid.

Oh I also saw you wrote the top bidder and the team that owns him can only bid . You know once ithe contract is up after the World Series , he doesn’t belong to anyone , that’s why anybody can bid on him .

And to show u one more thing , if 6 teams are bidding on that player , what that rule says is the team that won the player legit and the team that formerly , key word formerly had him only 2 that can bid the other 4 are out . No matter how you look

The team has no ties to the player once the contract ends after the World Series , hence there shouldn’t be extra time , 9pm should be the final time .

But here’s the thing it’s not Major League Baseball , it says all bids finalized at 9pm which is the rule which means last bid at 9 wins the player . If that team wants that player back that bad then he should bid up to 9 like everyone else

The O's made him a large offer, he went back to the Phillies and asked to match and they said yes.
