Former Tide closer Justice Schmid’s name has circulated in trade rumors, with the Tide seemingly eager to part ways with him. Still no word on to whom they are considering signing him.
Benedicto Farias (CF) was obtained in a late FTD trade with St. John’s Deadly Sins on Wednesday and optioned to triple A Mobile.
Marlins veteran pitcher Josh Beckett came out of retirement to join the Tide on Wednesday, and is expected to be a reliever, sources say.
Marlins star Kyle Stowers (who recently joined the Tide) is reportedly a top candidate to replace Tide starting 3B Malachi Breen, sources say.
She will be a pinch hitter/ sub in for current starter at shortstop Maureo de Jesus

Season 148 will be an interesting season for the Tide, with much of their roster from the previous season either in the minors, benched, or traded. This is also like how the Marlins are in a constant rebuild. Last season was very successful.
The Tide has also invested in a new standard size stadium, upgrading Saban Stadium’s capacity.
