The owners caused the 94 strike and caused irreperable damage to the game and to the careers of many players. The owners even had to pay damages.

What about '94? The players got almost everything they wanted. So no, they try to take advantage (who wouldn't in that kind of high-stakes bargaining position?) but aren't always able to capitalize. They're not tyrants, just tough negotiat

In baseball it seems to be the worst due to the wide gap in revenue from the big market to the small market teams.

In any system where it's big dollars vs comparatively small dollars, the big dollars have almost all of the power. The players in all major sports have fundamentally poor bargaining position, and the owners always take advantage.

No way, the owners are 100% to blame. The players already agreed to a 50% pay cut and now the owners are back for more. They aren't even compassionate enough to pay the pittance $400/week salary of their minor leagues until there is public outcry!

We just need the billionaire MLB owners to get their heads out of their asses and agree to pay the players what they are owed. They are the worst.
