Birth of the Franchise Ball Archives Committee (FBAC)
The birth of the modern Hall of Fame system in Season 91 was revolutionary to remembering the history of this game. The Alexandria Country Yankees did a phenomenal job in running this (as well as All-Stars and Awards) for 17 seasons, helping preserve the legacies of various legends. However, in Season 108, Alexandria purged their team. Despite the Renegades do one more season of the Hall of Fame system (in Season 111), no further progress has been made on archiving the last FB decade. You can't blame him (or anyone) for this, as people have other commitments than this site. But people on this site have been eager for the return of the Hall of Fame.
That is why I am pleased to present the birth of the Franchise Ball Archives Committee (FBAC), which was recently founded by the Cincinnati Reds, the New Orleans Hot Rods, the San Diego Bombers, the St. Johns Deadly Sins, and the Tacoma Storm (me). We are going to be bringing the Hall of Fame back, as well as seasonal All-Stars and Awards. More details will follow relating to this in a future post, as we are still working stuff out. I am just glad that we are able to get this running again so that new members of the community can get involved and learn about the past history of this game. History is meant to be preserved and appreciated, and this new committee will do just that.
