When Stones Collide: The Story of the Season 114 Oakland ObZen by Phoenix Diablos

1 Season after making his unexpected return to Franchise Ball, the Oakland ObZen returned to their dominant self. They dominated to the point where they reached no man's land: The World Series. Let's break down how they got to this position.
ObZen began their quest against what else but a dead team. The dead team got the advantage in the first game in 10 innings which put a great amount of pressure on the ObZen. ObZen barely won the next 2 games to set up a date with the Caguas Newnacionals. Let's just say the outcomes of both of the games weren't pretty unless you count 9-2 and 6-1 as close games. Nonetheless, that set ObZen up with a clash against a very dominant St. Johns Raptors squad. This Series did indeed go 3 games. Raptors took the first game, 7-6, but ObZen didn't flinch and they won the next 2, 4-1 and 5-3 to win their 53rd title.
ObZen continued their quest into the World Playoffs where they faced a formidable opponent in the Baltimore Orioles. As always, the ObZen pitching refused to allow any runs and ObZen pummeled them, 5-0. That set up what could potentially be the game of the year thus far. The San Diego Giants took on the Oakland ObZen where the ObZen had their eyes locked on the ultimate prize. This game didn't disappoint. The Oakland ObZen found themselves up by almost a touchdown, 6-0, after the 4th inning. Then, Giants woke up and chose violence. They scored 5 unanswered runs but they evidently came up a run short and the ObZen made their second (?) World Series appearance. There, the dangerous St. Johns Deadly sins awaited.
The Oakland ObZen pitching staff was downright disrespectful this entire series. They held a red-hot Deadly sins offense to 2 runs in game 1 as the ObZen ran away with a 6-2 victory. Game 2 was closer but it was relatively the same result: An ObZen W. A 7-5 W might I add. The Deadly sins finally decided to have a little fun and pounded the ObZen in game 3, 6-1. ObZen woke up and hushed the Deadly sins offense in game 4, 4-0. And with that, the Oakland ObZen secured their second World Series title in team history and who knows if he will go back-to-back next season.
I have one final thing to say before signing off: This is not just a team. This is a journeyman.

And with that, this is Phoenix Diablos signing off. Peace out, fellas!
   P.S. Go Astros!

   Phoenix Diablos :)
