New All Star System

May 12th 2021 By Alexandria Country Yankees

So, last time the All Stars was published, I got the expected blowback from the usual whatnot who are always complaining about his their players didn’t make the ballot, blah blah blah, but then, for the first time, some other people actually got involved, like Giants and WINNERS and Longballs, and for the first time, I was put under enough pressure to make changes. Winners did most of the work with this idea, I’m just putting it in an article.

Bombers (or some other HOF Committee member), Winners, and me will go through the league stats and find the best players, we will then put them on a shared Google Doc, and at the end, I’ll choose who makes it and who doesn’t. There will also be a minimum and maximum amount of players who make the ballot by position.

For position players, it’s 4-10 per position, while for starters and relievers, it’s 10-15, I think. Beyond that, it’s less statistics like it used to be and more subjective analysis, plus, it’ll rely much more on nominations.

DO NOT START NOMINATING PLAYERS UNTIL MAY 15!!!! I’LL MAKE AN ARTICLE ANNOUNCING THAT NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN AND WHO TO SEND YOUR PLAYERS TO!

Feel free to offer suggestions to change the proposed system, this is more of a rough outline rather than a concrete plan at this point in time.

..to include players hitting .330 with 20 homers and 45xbh

I think you will see a gap in stats between the top 4-5 and the rest yes, but I mean if theres 10 real good players then include them..I was just saying that if you have a player hitting .380 with 30 hr, 80rbi, 60xbh at top then theres no reason..

Would 4-8 players a position be better?

RBI is not important. It almost completely depends on how good the team is at getting on base and in scoring position for the hitter

Searching the top averages, rbis and xbh should show the best..homers too of course but they can be misleading..xbh and rbi imo are the most important..the stand outs will likely be near the top of both

I feel like 10-12 per position is way too many because there are usually a couple players that really stand out and some I feel that are nominated but dont really have a shot.
