No reason why the format can't be changed. I think players will stay interested longer due to less frustration.

He's still good Bombers-everyone has weird games sometimes. Ignoring this game, he is an awesome pitcher-great career stats too! I'd keep him in.

Yeah, that should be longer too. Again, the same concept: 1 bad game and you're done isn't fair. Give teams more games, and the better team will usually win.
