Pitchers are especially unpredictable. Since the ratings changed I have basically no idea what to look for in a pitcher anymore.
Career stats are probably a better indicator of performance than ratings, but they're not especially reliable either. I've gotten plenty of guys on seemingly Hall of Fame trajectories who have produced very little after changing teams.

I am starting to believe that Atom. I spent money getting 90+ players and they seems to hit homers but not for average.
Ratings have never seemed to count for much in this game, especially with guys in the 90s. They hardly ever perform like you'd expect. In my experience 80s guys are actually more consistent.

My team has 90+ hitters and collectively they are hitting near .200. Can someone explain this?
