The Renegades improve to 6-1 and will take on the Grand Prairie Lightning who will need a late rally to avoid defeat to the Knoxville Smokies this morning
The Captains stay on the road and head to Seattle for today's 2pm game where they take on the Cyclones who will come in at 5-2 after the beatdown they are inflicting on Joshuatop this morning. It's 21-4 currently, with Clones still batting in the
Your Topps players of the game, for the Captains it's Rocco McDuffie who went 3-for-4 with a homer and 2 batted in. For the Gades, Deshawn Bennett was 2-for-3 and his solo homer was the difference in this one.
Mondragon allowed a leadoff single but then set down the next three he faced to pick up his first save on the season.
His opposite number Rosales went 4, shipped a handful on 7 hits, and also struck out 5. Clevenger went the rest of way and only allowed the one hit, but could not get Rosales off the hook for the loss.
Fidele Rolon battled back from a tough first inning to go 8 strong, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits while striking out 5.
So after falling behind early, the Renegades come back to win their 6th game of the season and hand the Captains their first loss of the campaign.
Galarza lifts one out to right, very playable for Juarez who makes the catch and that'll do it!
