Franchise Ball Champions League (FBCL) - S141 Update
It’s been a fun start to the FBCL Campaign. We had 24 teams, represented in 4 groups of 6, vying to make the knockout stage of the competition. For those that want to track, join the FB Discord and go to the #fbcl-news-and-updates thread or the #fbcl-discussion thread. In the news-and-updates, the google doc all of this is kept in is pinned so you can follow along. Additionally we post updates with what happens on the news and updates thread.
That said, the group stage has ended after 120 simulated games, and we had our knockout rounds. Unlike the UEFA Champions League where they redraw every 1-2 rounds, this tournament is pre-determined based on your final position in the group stages. In the Quarterfinals we have 4 fantastic matchups.

(3) Ocala Coalition @ St. Johns Codfish
(4) San Francisco Bandits @ Washington DiamondBucs
These quarterfinals will be Best of 3, the SemiFinals will match the winners of QuarterFinals 1 and 2 against each other as well as the winners of quarterFinals 3 and 4 together in Best of 5 Series. The Champions League Finals, will be a best of 7 series!
After the first group of games, all home teams swept their series! So now we are at the SemiFinals, where we will have a best of 3 game series. Not only do the winners of these series advance to the Finals, but the winners also automatically qualify for the S142 group stages!

For those still interested in Season 142, but maybe are timid, all teams, even free teams, have a chance to qualify if you are active in Discord. Otherwise you will need to win your division AND get 40 wins to qualify! It’s harsh, I know, but the choices are 40 wins and win your division, or come join discord and be active (and have a winning record, as teams .500 or below cannot qualify!). Come join the discord, request an invitation, and let’s see what happens this season! Once the playoffs start for S141 here in Franchise Ball, we are closing invitations for S142 Champions League, and will be proceeding with the Qualification Tournaments shortly thereafter!
Short Note - all Leagues not active at the start of the season will not send automatic qualifiers, so for S142 that means the Loopa Hawk will not get automatic qualifiers next season.
Upcoming Schedule
Now through Next Week - Crowning the S141 Champions League Winner
21st - All teams with the best record in each league will automatically qualify for S142.
24th - League winners (if different from best record) will automatically qualify for S142, or the second best record (if #1 seed wins the league playoffs) will automatically qualify.
24th - S142 Qualification commences
1st - S142 Group Play commences
