Season 20 voting ends Today please vote

May 6th 2023 By Cincinnati Reds

Originally posted. May 3rd, 2023 By Los Angeles Hot Rods The Franchise Ball Archives Committee (FBAC) is working to fill in the gaps in our history. A Hall of Fame was kept throughout Seasons 92-107, but none of the seasons before or after that have Hall of Fame classes... until now.

The Archives Committee is launching a new project, spearheaded by the Cincinnati Reds, that will fill in over one hundred years' worth of history. Starting all the way back from Season 19, just under 800,000 retired players will be searched through and voted on to be inducted into Hall of Fame classes for their respective years.

-- HOW YOU CAN HELP --

It's simple.

Step 1: Go to http://108.61.128.21:3000/
Step 2: Create an account using your Franchise Ball team name; the password can be different.
Step 3: Once you've signed up, message the Cincinnati Reds and let him know. He will activate your voting rights.

That's it! Once you're verified by Reds, you are free to vote on any Hall of Fame season moving forward.

Voting for Season 19 has already concluded, but voting for Season 20 will begin at midnight (EST) tonight! The voting window for each season will be 7 days long, so voting for Season 20 ends on May 10th at midnight.

@Crushers also, it can be overwhelming looking at 30 links, yes. What I do is I open the 3 links per position, and just pick the best out of the three to vote on. Then I move on. So I cast 1 vote per position usually.

players weren't hitting in the high .300's like you see nowadays. back then, pitching dominated the game. As we continue to progress through the voting for the old classes, you'll slowly see the hitting start to get better and better.

I don't see what's too crammed about the ballot..? It's 30 players, only 3-7 are inducted per class. And yes, Crushers, these players' stats don't look that great, but you have to keep in mind that back in the early days of the website

Should be the same here except the 10 year thing. Only the top players should even be on the ballot

They just put together a ballot of the top players that have been retired for 10 years I believe. Then the voters to vote on it.

I'm neutral here, but just to clarify, is actual Hall of Fame like this or is it usually a few select players overall instead of each position?
