Completing the unthinkable: The Story of the Season 111 St. Johns Deadly sins by Phoenix Diablos

Hello, everyone! I am back to being the Phoenix Diablos (to the surprise of absolutely no one in particular) and I am here because I have a very special article projected to, in my opinion, one of the most friendly and legendary teams on the website, St. Johns Deadly sins. Let's just say they had a rather miraculous season.
The St. Johns accomplished a feat so rare that nobody in the history of the Franchise Ball community has ever maintained: Completed a season undefeated (I did an article about it earlier this season and I honestly thought it was my worst article I have ever established and I was deeply disappointed in myself so I'm back at it again with a more focused brain). Not only did they finish the season undefeated but they culminated the end of the World Series in electric fashion. Let's take a dive into the World Series!
The World Series opened up on a positive note (for the most part) on the Deadly sins end. Marquez Menendez got the home crowd in high spirits with an opposite field solo moonshot in the bottom of the 4th. Then, all hell broke loose in the top of the 7th. Trevor Kinard responded with a solo blast of his own and Asa Kunz hushed the crowd with a 3 run laser beam. The Deadly sins failed to respond and the St. Johns Peace Sharks pulled away with a Series lead 1-0. The Deadly sins finally suffered their 1st loss of their phenomenal season.
Game 2 was a whole lot more interesting. It was back and forth all the way to the end...and the end is a long way so fasten your seat belts, grab yourself a beverage and prepare for perhaps the best game of the entire World Series. Just like last game, the Deadly sins opened up the scoring with an oppo taco but this time, it was Adolfo Liddell with a leadoff solo blast. And, just as you thought that it won't happen again, it did: All hell broke loose but this time in the top of the 3rd. Navarrete tied it up with an rbi base knock. Then, Selby hit a sac fly to push the Sharks up front 2-1. And Duke delivered the final blow for that inning with a 2 run bomb. But, wait. There's more! Chavez hit a solo blast to put the Sharks up 5-1 in the top of the 7th. Just when all hope was lost, Marin and Ocampo delivered in very clutch moments for the Deadly sins. Marin hit an 2 run double and Ocampo hit a game tying 2 run bomb to Amp up the home crowd. That was all for the scoring until the top of the 13th when Kinard hit a game winning solo bomb to give the Sharks a commanding 2-0 series lead. Then, the Deadly sins woke up and chose violence.
The pitching in game 3 was downright terrifying. Even the Yankees and Mets would be sweating facing the elite pitching. The only scoring in this game was a 2 run shot by Thacker in the top of the 2nd. That's it. No 97 run innings. Just pure domination from the pitchers. Just like that, the Deadly sins were back in this thing...and they were not done yet.
Thacker opened up game 4 with a 2 run blast in the top of the 2nd to put the sins up 2-0. Liddell extended the lead with a 2 run blast to give the sins a comfortable lead...until it wasn't a comfortable lead. Kunz hit 2 solo blasts (one in the 5th and one in the 7th) to cut the sins lead in half, 4-2. Then, Dial demolished a game tying 2 run nuke in the 8th. Ocampo and Menendez clutched up in the 9th with 2 run homers to put the sins up to a demanding 8-4 lead. Kunz hit a solo blast in the bottom of the 9th but it proved to be useless as the Deadly sins knotted the series up at 2 apiece and forced a crucial game 5.
Game 5 was all over the place. Kinard got the Sharks on the board with an rbi triple but Ulibarri responded with an rbi single. Goodson gave the Sharks the lead for a split second with a solo blast but Marin and Thacker understood the assignment and hit back-to-back solo shots to give the sins the lead for the 1st time and hope started consuming the electric atmosphere. Ngo tied it up at 3 with an rbi single but Alvarez hit a solo blast for the lead. Then, things got scary. Duke and Dial were heroes for the Sharks in the top of the 6th. Duke hit an solo shot and Dial hit an rbi double. But, Marin was all like, "I want to be a hero too!", and laced a clutch 2 run bomb and that was the dagger to this fantastic series.
Therefore, the Deadly sins did something nobody will ever do, maybe ever again. They went 71-2 (or was it 70-2? Let me know in the comments) and that was the first time that has ever happened. I don't know about you but I think he deserved it with all the work and effort he has put into building this historic franchise.

  Peace out!
