All-Star Resignation, Inactivity, and Possible Purge

Apr 9th 2022 By Tacoma Storm

For many years, it has always been my mission to get involved in this game. On that very September night in the year of 2020 that I joined this game, I had no idea how much of a part it would be in my everyday life. From the joy of finally having something to cheer about, to the amazing community that makes this game up. This game has taught me many valuable life lessons, including bravery, hard work, and perseverance. This game isn't about baseball, it is about life.

Despite my parents not wanting me to play this game, I have continually logged on just to be a part of the community that has taught me a lot. Every single person that I have interacted with has had a positive impact on my life. From all the amazing people like the Mavericks, Awards Masters, Mets, Diablos, and Aces (and others, I can't list every single person here). To the inspiration from Reds, Bombers, Giants, and Warriors. Hell, even to the people like Rhody and Rature (when he was still around). Each and every one of these people has taught me a valuable life lesson, and I greatly appreciate it.

That is why it pains me to say that I might be gone for good. I am definitely stopping All-Stars (I will hand that off to Colonists). Trust me, this is not an easy decision at all. But my life is so cluttered right now that I might need to take some time off.

For starters, my family life is a mess. My brother had recently been diagnosed with a mental illness. He also wants to commit suicide. My brother needs all the support he can get right now, as he is not going through an easy time in life. My parents also need support because they have been going through a rough time as well. They deserve gratitude for all the sacrifices they have made for me and my two brothers.

Secondly, I am about to start high school. I will be in all Honors classes with the exception of financial classes (which still is a foundation for AP Economics). The course load from these teachers are all no joke, which is going to require a huge commitment from me. This is the point in life where I have to give it my all if I want to get into a top school (Stanford, Harvard, etc.).

Lastly, my tennis is in jeopardy right now. As I have said many times, my coach of many years is leaving for Florida to start an academy down there. Also, I will be leaving my other place of many years, as they are moving locations to an inaccessible place. My only place now is run by a coach which I dislike. My only hope is in the hands of one of my other coaches, who might fully commit to teaching.

I might purge if I cannot handle everything, but I will not for now. I will still be active but not engaged in the community. (And no, there is nothing you guys can do to persuade me to do anything).

If I purge, I would like to thank everybody mentioned above, as well as Josh for creating this amazing game. Josh deserves the most respect of everybody, as nothing would be possible without his outstanding work.

Once again, thanks to everybody, and I wish you all a happy Season 108!

Doesnt get worse. Especially for your brother. Nobody deserves to die young and I hope he can get through his times of trouble.
