Gaspard Ledesma MVP Award - Kristopher Hendrick, C
Season 104 Stats: 119-291 (.409), 14 2B, 9 3B, 30 HR, 72 RBI, 18 SB, .828 SLG
Hendrick became the 2nd player to ever win back-to back MVPs (along with Hall of Famer Adrian Hanna) after a sensational campaign in Season 104. Hitting 30 homers with 18 steals while batting above .400 at the not-very-young age of 33.
Isaac Barkley Pitcher of the Year - Salomon Montano
Season 104 Pitching Stats - 9-1, 106 IP, 17 ER, 93 K, 5 BB, 1.44 ERA, 0.708 WHIP
Season 104 Hitting Stats - 9-41 (.220 AVG), 3 2B, 1 3B, .341 SLG
Montano was absolutely dominant as a hurler last year, racking up only 1 loss and striking out nearly 19 times more batters than he walked with and allowing a meager 1.44 ERA and 0.708 WHIP as he broke out at age 27.
Rhett Beltran Reliever Of the Year - Gilberto Cuellar
Season 104 Stats - 7-0, 4 SV, 60 IP, 11 ER, 49 K, 10 BB, 1.65 ERA, 0.783 WHIP
Cuellar, the second ever reliever to go back-to-back (after Fernando Brent), staved off a competitive field to win again. Going undefeated in 7 decisions, he also racked up 4 saves and had a stellar 1.65 ERA, thanks in no small part to his 100 movement and 98 velocity.
Apocada-Chapa Rookie of the Year - Conner Chapa, C
Season 104 Stats - 99-285 (.347), 20 2B, 6 3B, 20 HR, 49 RBI, 12 SB, .670 SLG
After going 12-39 (.308 AVG) in a short debut season, Chapa showed that he was as good as the small sample size suggested during the course of his second (but still rookie) season. Almost recording 100 hits, Chapa smashed 20 doubles, 20 homers, and stole 12 bases to lead the Riyas to a 40-20 season.
Stay tuned for the Hall of Fame, which should come out tomorrow-ish!
