The Return: Story of the Season 104 Spokane Warriors by Phoenix Diablos

Everyone didn't expect too much from the Warriors. Nobody knew that they were going to witness history this season. They all thought that they would get eliminated from the playoffs once again. They proved everyone wrong.

They entered the playoffs with a 45-15 record. Their first victim was the Providence Franzes in which they swept in 2 games. Their next target was American Aces. That series went 3 games but it was still the Warriors who flexed their muscles. Their final opponent in the league finals was none other than the defending champion Shreveport Captains. The Warriors pulled off a massive upset by sweeping the defending champion. No, you are not reading that wrong. With that sweep, they advanced to the World playoffs where the real fun began.

Their Round 1 opponent was the Allentown Jits. This was a close game but the Warriors managed to squeeze out of it alive. They got the bye in the Quarterfinals but faced Detroit Detroit. They blasted them 5-3 and they punched a ticket to the World Series for the first time since Season 84. The team awaiting them was the Taichung Samsin.

This World Series was a clash between hitting and pitching. But, that was not the only thing exciting about this battle. A series win will shatter the record for most World titles in Franchise Ball history. That is exactly what the Warriors did and they did it in pure dominance. They swept Samsin in 3 games and they gave Spokane the biggest Christmas gift ever: A record-breaking 6th World title.

Who else was hyped to see the Warriors break the record? I most certainly was. It was a well deserved victory for the king. Warriors in 3!
