Aces with a proposed change to the All-Stars format
Hey guys, Aces coming at you with a proposed change to the All-Stars format. Kudos to everybody who has been involved with All-Stars in the past (Awards Masters and Storm get special shoutouts, you guys have done a GREAT job). The only reason I feel like we need a change in the way we do All-Stars is because not enough players receive sufficient appreciation for some of the uniquely fantastic seasons they put together, especially since the standards for certain statistics, such as batting average and home runs, are extremely high in this game. I have an idea for how to change this, and I want to know what you guys think. There is a google form where you can express your feelings and ideas about what I am proposing. Let’s try to keep the comments clean so that we avoid arguments and things getting out of hand. Thank you, and I hope you all enjoy my ideas.
The idea that I propose involvs a few volunteers who are active enough to do this. Now I know this can be hard at times, and none of us can really predict how often we are going to log on, but there are certain people who log in more often than others, and those are the people who should be involved in this new format. What I propose is having an All-Star team from each league. This includes eight starting position players (NO DH included), 4 bench players, 5 starting pitchers, and 4 relief pitchers, all from the same league. This way, players from every league are acknowledged for their great performances, and not simply players from teams like the Bombers, Reds, and many many more (you guys are all great but you’re stealing all of our All-Stars!!! ;))
This would require two (or one person if they have this much time on their hands) people from each league, to be the “comittee” for that league, and put together this All-Star roster. Voting and statistical requirements would remain exactly the same, with the exception that you only vote for players in your league.
