About Owner
Bud Blackwell was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky to his single mother Bertha. Bud's deadbeat father walked out after being fired for drinking on the job. Bud knew there had to be a better way. He wanted to find a way to hold down a job while also drinking as much as he wanted. And thus, Blackwell Bourbon Company was born. Bud's booze empire boomed throughout the bluegrass. Eventually he saved up to start a baseball franchise, because what's the point of drinking if not to crash out about the performance of your favorite sports team?

Blackwell Bourbon Company, founded by Bud Blackwell, is fermented locally in the cellar of Bud's father's favorite abandoned roadside shed. Bud's commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and the secret recipe of the shed, combine to make Blackwell Bourbon one of a kind. Bud's passion for baseball runs just as deep as his connection to the bluegrass region's rich history. Bud desires nothing more than to build a winning franchise that honors the rich legacy of his hometown and gives him an excuse to drink. He hopes to one day trade the bourbon for some champagne.
